How To Create a Stutter Effect in Logic Pro X | Logic Tutorial

In this video KC shows how to create a stutter effect using a dynamic plug in called a “Gate”.

To create the stutter effect you need to sidechain a trigger output and create a sequence of MIDI notes in the arrange window

In this video KC uses the Klpofgeist but you can use any instrument. The idea is to send a sequence of notes to the gate that is inserted on your main sound. Make sure that your trigger channel is routed to a buss and is set to “no output”.

Once you’ve created your notes with the “trigger” channel, you’ll need to sidechain to the gate that’s inserted on the instrument you want to play/stutter.

Once you’ve side chained the gate to the buss you’ve chose, you’ll need to set the threshold till the notes are stuttering every time a note is playing in the sequence you’ve created.
