“How To Change Tempo W/O Affecting Audio In Logic Pro X”

In this video I show you how you can change the tempo of your session without affecting your Audio files positions.

There’s been a few times where I’ve been sent a mix and chopped all the vocals files ready to start automation and adding FX.

Then I realise the delays are out of time because the session has been recorded at Logics default 120BPM.

Once I’ve found the tempo for the beat and changed the session to the correct BPM all the files will be out of sync.

This little trick here has saved me on a few sessions because all I have to do is lock SMPTE and then change the tempo and all is good Bare in mind that if you’ve started automating your files there could be an issue because the automation doesn’t lock with SMPTE If you know a workaround, please let me know in the comments 🙂
